  4. I'm definitely with Kevin here. Leeds has been very unkind to its pre-Victorian history. Leeds first became wealthy on the back of the White Cloth Hall - building it was how we took the wool trade away from Wakefield. We need to acknowledge that, even if it makes us no money. It's out heritage. But please, no big retail developments of Kirkgate. Getting Victoria Gate will be bad enough.

  5. Something needs to be done to Kirkgate as a whole. The majority of that street just looks and feels unpleasant, and it's a key gateway into the city centre. There could be some much done to it and instead it just feels left behind by the rest of the development happening around the city. Let's hope it's next on the list after Victoria Gate and John Lewis.
