  2. I believe the Star and Garter building on the corner of Call Lane is owned by Sam Smiths (the brewery), along with the Duncan pub of course, a couple of doors down. Sadly the brewery is notorious for owning lots of property and doing nothing with it.

  3. FANTASTIC! Thank you Leeds-List! I often get cross at people with their faces glued to mobile phones who just don't see the wonderful architecture that surrounds them. Then again I probably annoy everybody - half the time I'm so busy admiring the architecture I don't look where I am going and hit lamp posts, people and once nearly knocked a chap off his bike (shouldn't have been on the pavement - BOO!).

  5. There's a fantastic building opposite Wetherspoons on Park Row with a sculptured "frieze" of figures from around the world. There's an American Indian and other figures and I'm not sure what the building used to be or what they represent (would love to know if anyone else does!). Whatever it is, it's pretty amazing.
