Leeds is a mecca for the real ale and craft beer connoisseur, and the arrival of a Brooklyn Brewery pop-up just adds to the choice, and quality, on offer – with it’s own Five Boroughs twist.
The pop-up beerhouse is a nod to the true traditions of Brooklyn Brewery – no fuss or gaudiness, just brilliant beer in an atmosphere synonymous with the Brooklyn way of doing things.
This is no drinking revolution; this is merely Brooklyn Brewery doing what they do best in a city that will welcome it with open arms and for people who appreciate the better beverages in life. With a mini-Red’s True Barbecue tucked into the corner, they emphasise the importance of food and drink together – who wouldn’t appreciate the Sorachi Ace with a side of pulled pork?
Put this alongside the little things – the Squirrell Cage light bulbs above the bar, the logo embossed tokens you purchase to get the beers in, and the array of Brooklyn delights behind the bar that give this unassuming converted warehouse the atmosphere it exudes.
