Develop a strategy to power growth

LUBS Help to Grow

Help to Grow is a structured programme that will introduce you to the core tenets of growth, giving you the time and headspace to put them into practice within your own business. And that’s key here. This isn’t an academic course. It’s not all lectures and research. Instead, you’ll be given practical tools and strategies you can implement right away and a clear, structured path to creating a business plan that drives growth.

The course is flexible enough to fit around your work, with 50 hours of in-person and online sessions, peer-to-peer learning and one-to-one mentoring, spread across a 12-week period. Each week, you’ll cover a different topic, then work with your fellow business owners to apply those learnings in the real world. That’s the beauty of peer-to-peer learning – your cohort will become your partners in crime, trusted advisors you can talk to and bounce ideas off.

And the mentors are just as important. They’ll challenge your thinking and offer new perspectives to help you find better, more impactful solutions. This is your chance to explore areas that aren’t covered by the course and get a sounding board on the challenges facing your business. So whether you’re struggling with recruitment, considering a merger or stuck in a marketing rut, you can hone in on problem areas and get the help you need to move forward.

Learn from the undisputed SME experts

Leeds University Business School

If you’re going to do a management programme anywhere, Leeds University Business School is the place to do it. They’re world ranked and triple accredited, but more importantly, they’ve been helping SMEs to succeed for over 20 years. In that time, they’ve run various programmes designed to help business owners, just like you, to identify growth opportunities, develop leadership skills and produce a business plan to help them meet their goals.

In fact, they have their own SME Hub, which alongside their growth programmes, offers knowledge transfer partnerships, peer networks, SME leader forums, executive leadership partnerships and even the opportunity to collaborate with students on business projects. By joining their Help to Grow programme, you can become a part of this vibrant business ecosystem and start benefitting from their experience right away.

And you’ll remain part of that ecosystem long after the course has finished. Not only will you forge relationships that last, giving you an ongoing sounding board for your ideas, but you’ll also become part of their alumni network. This is a chance for past, current and future cohorts to come together, network and share their knowledge through an ongoing programme of events that bring you talks from inspirational business leaders and peers.
