That’s right – they’re bringing all the festivities live to your living room! HUMBUG Online Christmas Adventure
Want to get stuck into a festive family adventure, all from the comfort of your couch? HUMBUG is the online experience for you. Christmas is normally a time of joy at the Ministry of Make Believe, but this year someone’s been up to mischief – the baubles are exploding, the trees have no leaves and the snowmen have lost their noses! It’s your job to solve the mystery, find the culprit and save Christmas over seven interactive instalments. You’ll even get a Fact File full of clues sent to your door.

The Digital Story of the Snow Queen
You can treat the little ones to an extra-special festive storytime thanks to Tutti Frutti. The Leeds-based children’s theatre company are doing a reading of their 2018 adaptation of the Snow Queen. You’ll hear the story of Kai and Gerda, two friends who get into a spot of trouble when they bump into the ice-cold queen. She freezes Kai’s heart, so it’s down to Gerda to save her friend and bring back the warm weather. The reading comes with a craft activity for the kids.

The Virtual Rasta Claus Experience
Bored of seeing the same old Santa? Well, this year you can pay a virtual visit to his cool cousin Rasta Claus instead. Get ready for a 15-minute interactive online grotto experience like no other. To kick things off, the kids will meet Mama Africa and learn to bust some moves to festive beats in her dance workshop. They’ll then get a one-to-one with Rasta Claus himself, where the jolly man will spread some cheer and ask the little ones what their Christmas wishes are.

Northern Opera’s enchanting re-telling of Cinderella is a must for the whole family this December – and the best part? You can watch it online. You’ll follow Cinderella on one magical night when she’s transformed from a lowly maid into a beautiful princess, with a little help from the Fairy Godmother of course. The classic fairytale is soundtracked by a beautiful score written by Pauline Viardot, that’s been translated into English by Rachel M Harris. The performance was filmed across Leeds, so see if you can recognise any local treasures!

You don’t need to visit his grotto to see Santa this year, because he’s streaming live to your living room! Sneaky Experience have arranged a broadcast direct from the North Pole so the kids can still get some quality time with the big man this Christmas. It’s a 30-minute interactive experience, where the kids will get to hear tales from the North Pole and learn the ‘Dance of the Elves’, before getting to chat to Santa about their all-important Christmas list.
