Explore an underground labyrinth

If you’re our winner, you’ll get to visit Stump Cross Caverns for a full day of family fun. Kick things off with a self-guided cave tour, exploring hidden nooks and marvelling at ancient rock formations as you learn all about the caves’ 300-million-year history. Pick up a themed quiz pack to complete as you go around – there are fossils, fairies and dinos to choose from!

You’ll also get to travel underground for a second cave tour – this time seeing the fascinating network in a whole new light. Armed with a UV torch, you’ll experience the magic of glowing minerals and illuminated formations, uncovering incredible detail that can’t be seen by the naked eye. It’s basically your very own rave in a cave!

You’ll also get to try out Stump Cross Caverns’ newest attraction – the Crystal Wonders experience. Head to the caverns’ cinema for a hands-on workshop, learning all about how to identify different crystals and even growing your own crystal to take home. Equal parts science and fun, it’s perfect for curious young minds.

Once you’ve learned all about crystals, it’s time to put your skills to the test with a real-life gem panning session. Grab a mining rough bag from the gift shop then head to the sluice to pan for hidden treasures. With Amesyth, Rose Quartz and Emeralds all waiting to be discovered, each and every bag is packed with a sparkling surprise.

And that’s not all – the final part of your prize is a £50 voucher to spend during your visit. Head to the gift shop and you’ll find a whole host of Stone Age souvenirs to take home with you. Or perhaps you’d prefer to grab something tasty to eat in the Time Cafe. Decorated with beautiful clocks, it’s a great place to have a bite to eat while you reflect on your day – and if you look out the window, you’ll feel as if time has stopped.
