Bavarian Market at Heaney & Mill

Missing the German market? Get yourself over to Heaney & Mill in Headingley. They’ve set up a Bavarian BBQ outside the restaurant so you can get your fill of bratwurst, schnitzel and grilled cheese sandwiches all day every day, washed down with a glug of mulled wine or a mug of liquor-laced coffee. They also have a little shop set up inside, so you can pick-up a gift hampers full of wine, cheese and festive snacks.

Knave’s Winter Wonderland at Oporto

Knave’s Kitchen has got right into the Christmas spirit by creating a Winter Wonderland at their Oporto home. They’ve put together a 100% vegan menu of delicious festive junk food for the occasion. Cauliflower grilled cheese, festive veg skewers or the seitan ho ho hot dog, the choice is yours. Wash it down with the perfect Christmas tipple – they’re serving mulled wine and hot cosmos. Just walk up to their hatch on Call Lane to grab and go.

The Stuzzi Christmas Shop

Enjoy a little dose of Italy this Christmas at Stuzzi. They’ve repurposed their restaurant as a Christmas shop so you can get wonderful foodie gifts every Friday and Saturday. Pick up imported Italian oils, sauces and wine, as well as their own homemade pasta – or get it all wrapped up in a hamper. There’s hot food to go too, including their special Christmas-style porchetta, which you can pair with cocktails from The Watermark.

Christmas at the Myrtle Tavern

The Christmas decorations at the Myrtle Tavern are always a sight to behold and they’ve come up with a novel way of allowing you to see them this year. Every Saturday and Sunday, you can place an order for mulled wine, hot cider and mince pies, before you walk through the pub to see how they’ve pulled out all the stops. Once you’ve made your way around, your order will be ready for you to take away and enjoy on your way home.

Let It Snow at Victoria Gate

If you need a dose of festive joy this Christmas, head to Victoria Gate. Let It Snow means exactly that – Sidney Street is blasted with artificial snow every day between 11am and 7pm. But that’s not all because you can also visit their mini Christmas market. There are three stalls outside the main entrance selling everything from Yorkshire pudding wraps to hot chocolate, non-alcoholic mulled wine and personalised Christmas decorations.
