Thrill seekers, listen up. We’ve rounded up six of Yorkshire’s best quad biking experiences. But which will you go for? You can take on a muddy woodland track, filled with twists and turns, or speed through open grassland, taking in spectacular views of the Dales as you go. Whether you’re riding solo or heading out with a group of adrenaline junkies, here’s where to go quad biking in Yorkshire.

Quad Trex offer one of the most varied quad biking courses in Yorkshire as you ride around the track at Thornton Hall Country Park. You will jump on a top-of-the-range Suzuki bike before you weave through woodland, rev around the old quarry and power through the grassland. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, this 45-minute course will provide plenty of fun challenges. It also welcomes kids as young as six to have a go.

The Camp Hill Estate

The Camp Hill Estate doesn’t just pride itself on its beautiful grounds, it’s also a hub for outdoor activities, and the quad biking sessions are a must. From dirt track to grassland, there are lots of different terrains for you to tackle here once you’ve completed their short training course at the start. They do adult-only treks where you can really challenge your skills, but If you have little ones aged eight or above, their Family Quad treks are a must-try.

You’ll find Live For Today’s picturesque woodland track within the 70-acre grounds of Hazlewood Castle, but there’s nothing serene about this experience. After a warm-up lap, you’ll be let loose on this challenging course to tear through muddy puddles while tackling tight twists and turns. Up to ten people can race at once and you can choose a 30 or 45-minute session, after which you’ll want to do it all again.

Adrenalin

If you want to hit the track with your mates, regardless of your age, check out Adrenalin and their group quad bike trekking. They’ll teach you the basics before you rev around the course and get stuck into a series of competitions like timed laps and forfeits. The route takes you through a huge field, so you can speed up in vast open spaces rather than worrying about tricky bumps and turns. You’ll need a minimum of 10 people, so it’s a great one for special occasions.

Quad Nation have three beginner-friendly courses across Yorkshire. After a safety briefing, you’ll be unleashed into a quad biking haven, filled with muddy puddles, challenging turns and steep hills. You have three venues to choose from here. Head to Rufforth to whizz through vast open land and woodland or Harrogate to motor across the muddy grounds that surround Ripley Castle. Prefer challenging woodland? Choose Tadcaster. You’ll have 30 minutes to tear up each course.

Yorkshire Outdoors

If you love the idea of getting muddy, get yourself down to Yorkshire Outdoors. Their mud-soaked course is set in 50 acres of countryside and is designed to really challenge you. It’s one of the only places in Yorkshire to offer VIP quad biking for a maximum of four people. Take an introductory course where you’ll learn the basics or add on an extra hour to hone your skills by venturing on to new parts of the route. To really up your skills, you can even go for a 1-on-1 session.
