Not only can you see Trouble in Tahiti for just £10, we’ll also throw in a FREE glass of prosecco and 40% off food at The Pit.
Opera North have outdone themselves this season with a series of six short, but incredibly emotional operas – and we’re giving you the chance to see one of them for just £10. Trouble in Tahiti was composed by Leonard Bernstein, the man behind West Side Story, and it’s a marvellous medley of musical styles – think opera and jazz interspersed with big musical numbers. Sound good? Just wait ’til you hear what it’s about…
A very real story of love gone awry
You’re probably expecting a big love story or a horrific tragedy, but Trouble in Tahiti is a much more relatable story. On the surface, Sam and Dinah look like the perfect couple – but they’re not. They’ve fallen out of love and no amount of ‘stuff’ will make it better, but no matter how much they bicker and fight and struggle to escape, they always come back to each other.
