A trip to Bradford is in order to see the naughtiest, most politically incorrect puppet show in the world. That’s right, Avenue Q is coming to the Alhambra Theatre – and we’ve got a fantastic offer for you.
Avenue Q is headed north. These potty-mouthed puppets tackle all the big issues, from sex and porn to our modern drinking culture, so it’s fair to say that this is not your usual West End hit. It’s the naughtiest puppet show in town, a grown-up musical comedy that will shock and entertain in equal measure, but it’s also a theatrical triumph. This is the show that won Best Musical, Best Book and Best Score at the Tony Awards, so expect a rip-roaring night of entertainment – and all for just £15.
Mischief, bad behaviour and political incorrectness aplenty
The show follows Princeton, an English grad with no work experience and no life skills, as he moves to New York in search of a purpose. His adventures lead him to a motley crew of friends, with sexperts, bankers and, don’t freak out, Republicans! Expect loud puppet sex, freak accidents and the usual relationship drama as Princeton navigates his way through life – all to a soundtrack of catchy, toe-tapping tunes that will follow you home. From ‘Everyone’s a Little Bit Racist’ to ‘If You Were Gay’ and ‘The Internet is For Porn’, they tackle all of life’s trickiest topics in song with hilarious consequences.
