Bonfire Night is just around the corner and there are loads of incredible fireworks displays taking place all over Yorkshire – which will you go to this year?
Remember, remember the fifth of November because Yorkshire is going all out for Bonfire Night this year. In fact, there are epic fireworks displays taking place from the end of October to the middle of November, so you can pick and choose when and where you want to celebrate the big event. We’ve selected 10 of Yorkshire’s finest for you to choose from – you could even do more than one!
Spooky Fireworks Spectacular
The annual Fireworks Spectacular at Doncaster Racecourse is taking on a spooky edge this year with a special Halloween-themed night. It starts at 4pm and there’s loads to do – you can party in the kids disco, get your face painted and explore the funfair. There will be fire tricksters and a fancy dress competition too. Stop by the bar and food court, before their huge fireworks display starts at 7.30pm – and don’t worry about the weather, they have a covered viewing area.
Spooky Fireworks Spectacular takes over Doncaster Racecourse from 4pm on Saturday 29th October 2022. Tickets are £8 for adults, £6 for children and £20 for families of 4.
Musical Fireworks Spectacular

You can get into the spirit of Bonfire Night in Yorkshire early this year at Sledmere House. Their seventh annual Musical Fireworks Extravaganza has a new theme this year, ‘Sledmere Rocks!’, so get ready to enjoy live music from local band, This House We Built. They’ll also have performers and a funfair to enjoy from 4pm, as well as a bar, cafe and street food stalls, before the fireworks are set off to an incredible musical score from around 7.30pm.
Musical Fireworks Spectacular 2022 takes over Sledmere House on Saturday 29th October 2022. Tickets are £12 for adults, £7 for children over 3 and £36 for a family of four.
The Big Bang
The Big Bang will return to the Keepmoat Stadium for the 11th year and it’s set to be Doncaster’s biggest and best fireworks display to date. It all kicks off from 5pm, and you can enjoy not one, but two different sets of fireworks. The first is a kid-friendly one, starting at 6.30pm, before the big finale at 8.45pm, and it promises to be one of the most impressive in Yorkshire. You can also look forward to a funfair, live music, food stalls and a licensed bar.
The Doncaster Big Bang Firework Spectacular is at Keepmoat Stadium from 6pm on Thursday 3rd November 2022. Tickets are £3 with hospitality tickets £25.
Bonfire Weekend Festival

You now have two chances to enjoy one of the best fireworks displays in Yorkshire at Thornton Hall. Whether you go on Friday or Saturday, the gates open at 5.30pm for you to explore the market stalls, enjoy live music and watch the kids entertainment. There’s a bar and street food vendors too. Then it’s time to find yourself a good spot for the lighting of the bonfire around 7pm, followed by a mega fireworks show with music and special effects from 8pm.
Bonfire Weekend Festival takes place at Thornton Hall Country Park from 6pm on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th November 2022. Tickets are £19.95 for adults and £14.95 for children with VIP upgrades available.
Sky Magic

After a sell-out show in 2020, Sky Magic are returning to Driffield Showground with another huge fireworks festival that caters to everyone. They have drive-in facilities with seating next to your car so you can enjoy the show from your own spot, or you can walk-in and enjoy a classic fireworks experience. They have in-car entertainment, funfair competitions and street food too. You can enjoy all that before they set off their epic fireworks at 7.30pm accompanied by music.
Sky Magic takes over Driffield Showground from 5.30pm on Saturday 5th November 2022. Tickets are £10 for adults, £5 for children walk-in or £30 for drive-in tickets.
Illuminate the Gardens
Illuminate the Gardens is one of the best family-friendly fireworks displays in Yorkshire and it’s back for 2022. The three-night extravaganza takes place in the incredible setting of the Sheffield Botanical Gardens from 5pm each day. Head in to snaffle street food, have a beer and go on the vintage fairground rides before the main event. Each night they start things off with a ‘low bangs’ display for the little ones, which is followed later on in the evening by the main display.
Illuminate the Gardens takes over Sheffield Botanical Gardens from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th November 2022. Tickets start from £17.50 for adults and £12.50 for children.
Fireworks, Bonfire and Family Fun 2022

One of the biggest Bonfire Night events in East Yorkshire and one of the major bonfire night events happening around Hull this year is taking place at Humberdale Farm in Swanland. It’s run by the Hull Wyke Round Table, with proceeds going to great local causes and charities. Get down from 5pm to enjoy funfair rides, a steam organ and all kinds of food and drink stalls. The bonfire will be lit just after 7pm and the mega fireworks will be set off shortly after.
Fireworks, Bonfire and Family Fun 2022 takes over Humberdale Farm, Swanland from 6.30pm on Saturday 5th November 2022. Tickets are £15 per car, £5 for walk-ins over 12 or free for under 12s.
Mirfield Bonfire and Fireworks Extravaganza
Head to Mirfield Showground for one of the best family-friendly Bonfire Night events in Yorkshire. It’s run by the Mirfield & District Round Table, with proceeds going to worthy local causes. This year, it promises to be bigger and better than ever before. Gates open at 5pm and you’ve got plenty of time to grab something to eat and have a mooch around the stalls, games and the funfair, before the bonfire is lit at 6.30pm and the fireworks go off around 7pm.
The Charity Bonfire and Fireworks Extravaganza takes over Mirfield Showground from 6pm on Saturday 5th November 2022. Tickets are £5 for adults and £2 for children.
Autumn Lights
If you’re looking for Bonfire Night fun in South Yorkshire, book in for Autumn Lights at Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield. This is one of the most elaborate Bonfire Night spectacles in Yorkshire and it’s a spectacular affair. Walk in and you’ll meet glowing, roaming entertainers around the stadium and get to watch the live entertainment on the stage. Alongside all that, you can also visit street food stalls, bars and the funfair before the display is set off around 7.30pm.
Autumn Lights takes over Don Valley, Sheffield from 4pm on Saturday 5th November 2022. Tickets are £17.50 for adults, £10 for children 3 to 16 and £45 for families of four.
Bonfire Spectacular

Cannon Hall Farm, near Barnsley, goes all out on Bonfire Night. It’s an all-day spectacle, with tickets giving you entry to the farm from 10am. Get down early to wander around, have a go on the indoor and outdoor play areas and ride on their tractors and trailers. There will be a DJ and kids entertainment from the CopyCat Party Company around 1pm, before the bonfire is lit at 4.30pm. The fireworks start at 6pm – it’s one of the best in Yorkshire, so don’t miss out.
Bonfire Spectacular is at Cannon Hall Farm, Barnsley from 10am on Sunday 6th November 2022. Tickets are £12.95 per person with under 2s free.
