Timberjacks

TimberJacks is one of the best dedicated axe throwing venues in Yorkshire. They’ve got plenty of lanes, a viewing area for the axe-shy and a place to get snacks. You share a lane at TimberJacks, so prices depend on how long you want to play for — pay £20 per person for 45 minutes, £25 per person for 60 minutes or £30 per person for 75 minutes. If there’s anywhere that was made for hurling an axe through the air, it’s York. With their rich Viking history, it’s no wonder they have an axe throwing range. And they’ve combined it with great food too, because you can get bevs and bites from the restaurant next door, Odin’s Plate. Once you’ve worked up an appetite throwing axes like a Viking or Viqueen, you can tuck into a plate of Ragnarok – fries loaded with sliced chilli sausage, cheese sauce, buffalo sauce and jalapeños.
