Fantasy weapons, special movie nights and five weekends of interactive events inspired by movie monsters, action heroes and more…
This autumn, the Royal Armouries is launching a new pop-culture exhibition. Make:Believe will put you nose-to-nose with some of the most iconic arms and armour ever to grace our screens. This is your chance to see how the museum’s collection has inspired the swords, guns and helmets in your favourite films, TV shows and books. Want to be the first to see it? You’ve come to the right place because we’re giving away tickets to their exclusive preview event with a medley of other perks.
Explore the collection, hear from the armourer and enjoy all manner of perks
Ooh, this is good! If you’re our lucky winner, you’ll get two tickets to the private viewing on Thursday 24th October 2019. You can see the Imperial Stormtrooper blaster from Star Wars, catch a glimpse of Frodo’s trusty sword, Sting, and cast your eyes over the taunting helmet from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
But that’s just the beginning because we’re also giving you the chance to hear from legendary ‘Woman of Weapons’ Natalia Lee with two tickets to her Museums at Night event on Thursday 31st October 2019. Famed for her work on Game of Thrones, she’s an armourer, a stunt double and fight master, so you can expect an exciting evening of combat demonstrations as she reveals the tricks of her trade.
On top of all that, you’ll bag a two-course lunch at The Master’s restaurant in the Royal Armouries, giving you the perfect excuse to pop back and make the most of their themed weekends – who wants to debate the best ways to kill a zombie? And you can head up to the crossbow range with two sessions for the pair of you. Last but not least, you’ll get £25 to spend on the new Star Wars range in the Royal Armouries gift shop.
