This eerie night of live music is a brilliant alternative to the more traditional Halloween nights out and we’re giving away 4 tickets with a £50 bar tab…
Bored of plastic skeletons? Tired of trick or treating? We’ve got the perfect alternative for you this Halloween. You can see a spine-chilling ghost story performed on stage with a full orchestra, as Leeds College of Music presents Vaughan Williams’ chilling Riders to the Sea. They’ve invited the Leodian Concert Orchestra to perform a semi-staged version of the classic opera, which will be brought to life with Annabeth Robinson’s audiovisual mastery. Expect the unexpected.
Opera, chills and a £50 bar tab
Riders to the Sea is usually set on the Irish coast, but they’ve moved it to Yorkshire for this unique production. You’ll follow Maurya, a woman who’s lost her husband, her father-in-law and all but one of her sons to the sea. When her last son decides to set sail, she predicts that she will have no sons by nightfall – and it’s a premonition she may come to regret. Expect ghostly apparitions and unsettling music in this creepy, otherworldly tale.
This is going to be a fantastic night out. You’ll get 4 tickets to the opera, with the best seats in the house, and a £50 bar tab. Grab a couple of their ghoulish cocktails and prepare for a spectacular show as the orchestra shows you what they’re made of.
