It’s official! Roomzzz will open their new York aparthotel on 31st December 2019, just in time for your New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Right in the heart of the city with views over the River Ouse, Roomzzz York is the perfect base for exploring – in fact, you can hot-foot it over to Clifford’s Tower, the Grand Opera House and York Dungeons in just 10 minutes. Inside, you’ll have your little home from home, where you can cook, relax and enjoy a glass of wine ahead of a night on the town. It’s almost too good to be true, especially if you win our latest competition, because we’re giving away a two-night stay with a lavish afternoon tea and a scrumptious chocolate experience.
Spend 2 luxurious nights at the new Roomzzz York
If you’re our lucky winner, you’ll bag two nights at Roomzzz York. You’ll be staying in one of their Dezign Suites, so you could have your own private balcony, an incredible river view or even both. After a long day of exploring, you can whip up dinner in the fully-fitted kitchen and drift off to sleep on a 2,000 pocket sprung mattress. The next day, jump into their rainfall shower and head down to enjoy your complimentary grab ‘n’ go breakfast before the fun starts again.
Whizz over to York on the train with tickets for two
You can get from Leeds to York in a jiffy with Northern! Their fastest train will get you there in just 30 minutes, giving you even more time to explore the city, and with up to three trains an hour, you can choose a time to suit. It is, of course, on us – we’re giving away two unlimited day travel passes for up to 4 people to get you to York and back, so sit back, relax and wait for the adventure to begin. It sure beats driving!
Indulge in a luxurious afternoon tea at The Countess of York
No trip to York would be complete without a visit to The National Railway Museum, but how about we sweeten the deal? If your name is pulled out of the hat, you can enjoy an extravagant afternoon tea for two at The Countess of York. Step into their beautifully restored rail carriage to enjoy a menu of quintessentially British treats, like pulled pork and apple brioche rolls, Earl Grey tea loaf cakes and blood orange possets. Scones are an obligatory and absolutely delicious addition.
Delve into the delicious history of York Chocolate Story
Last but not least, we’re giving away two tickets to York Chocolate Story. While other cities built their wealth on wool, cotton and steel, York turned its hand to chocolate and you can go on a delicious journey into the city’s past with their downright delectable tours. As you weave your way through three floors of interactive exploration, you’ll discover the origins of chocolate, find out how it’s made and learn to taste it like a pro. Delicious!
