No one tells the story of Caesar and Cleopatra like Handel. He switches from vengeance to desire in the blink of an eye, bringing his characters to life with a vividly-etched score full of heartbreaking arias and big orchestral numbers that reverberate through the theatre. The set will blow you away, it’s a world of deep royal blue and glittering gold where Cleopatra wows in hot pants and battle-gear.

This is a mesmerising world of seduction, intrigue, murder and full-scale battles. You’ll see Cleopatra disguise herself as a servant to bewitch Caesar and win his support, but when the pair fall in love for real, passions flare and princes fall. Meanwhile, Sesto and Cornelia plot revenge against Tolomeo for the death of Pompeo, and they find themselves in an unlikely alliance with Cleopatra. As battles rage and enemies plot, the tension rises and the story heads towards a dramatic conclusion.

Wait, it gets better because if you’re our lucky winner, you’ll bag two of the best seats in the house on opening night, so you can see Giulio Cesare in all its glory.
