This March, Northern Ballet will tell the story of Britain’s greatest monarch through dance – and you can win tickets.
She ruled the empire for 63 years, but there’s so much more to Victoria than her crown, which is why she’s the subject of Northern Ballet’s latest production. They’ve joined forces with Cathy Marston once again to reveal the real Victoria. From the epic love story of her romance with Albert to her intimate relationship with her daughter Beatrice, this is your chance to discover the woman behind the legend.
See the show from the best seats in the house
If you’re our lucky winner, you’ll bag two tickets to the performance of Victoria on Friday 15th March 2019. This is a tale of all-encompassing passion, never-ending grief and intense maternal love, told through the eyes of Victoria’s daughter. The story begins at the end – the Queen is dead and Beatrice must begin the mammoth task of editing her diaries. As she works, she discovers a side to her mother that she never knew and meets the father she lost when she was just three. It’s an emotional journey and you’ll be with her every step of the way as Marston weaves a wonderful autobiographical web through dance.
Feast on tapas at Ambiente before the show
This is a ready-made night out, so alongside your tickets, you’ll get £100 to spend at Ambiente. You can feast on their menu of creative tapas dishes, washed down with beer, wine or one of their famous sherry flights. Start with Dátiles con Serrano (dates stuffed with almonds) before you move onto Albóndigas (meatballs), Berenjena Asada (charred aubergine) and Pulpo a la Gallega (octopus on a bed of confit potatoes).
