Don’t miss your chance to see an unmissable opera from one of the most famous composers of all time…
If you could only see one opera in your lifetime, The Marriage of Figaro would be a worthy choice. Mozart outdid himself with this one. In fact, it’s so jam-packed with famous tunes that you’ve probably heard them before. From the renowned overture to Figaro’s ‘Here’s an end to your life as a rover’, they’ve wormed their way into our collective consciousness, but just wait until you see them all together in Opera North’s epic production.
Watch Mozart’s vision come to life on stage
If you’re our lucky winner, you’ll bag two tickets to The Marriage of Figaro at Leeds Grand Theatre on Wednesday 19th February 2020. It’s a rib-tickling comedy filled with hilarious disguises, hysterical misunderstandings and ingenious plans.
It’s Figaro’s wedding day, but he’s in trouble. His master, the Count, wants to bed his bride-to-be, and if he can’t pay his debt to the housekeeper Marcellina, he’ll have to marry her instead. As he tries to outsmart the Count and outrun Marcellina, he finds himself with an unlikely ally and makes a surprising discovery. But will he make it down the aisle? You can find out, as Mozart’s unforgettable score carries you through comic highs and heartbreaking lows.
