It seems Leeds is a city everyone wants a piece of, but just why should they be looking to invest here?
Leeds is getting admiring glances every angle and it’s not hard to see why. There’s so much going on here, but more importantly, Leeds is a city that is constantly looking to better itself, so we know exactly why big businesses are trying to get in on the action.
There’s loads of us
That might sound simplistic, but when you think that Leeds City Region is the biggest out of all the Core Cities (you know, the big ones outside of that there London), you have to admit that there are plenty of people for potential investors to target – and why wouldn’t they?
Infrastructure to build on
There are already 106,000 businesses set up and working away in Leeds, and that’s constantly growing as we continue on our mission to become a Northern hub for a variety of industries. From retail, creative and leisure to financial, legal and professional services, Leeds is at the top of its game, and it’s something prospective businesses should want a piece of.
At the heart of the UK
Geographically, we’re lucky. Leeds is almost strategically positioned at the heart of Northern England, with key transport routes like the M62 and M1 spitting distance away. That’s only going to improve as Leeds becomes part of the focal point of the new HS2 rail line, making all the important places easily accessible.
People in Leeds aren’t the only ones blowing the city’s trumpet, as Leeds has become a vital destination to be seen in. With companies like Almost Famous, Bem Brasil, Illamasqua and Meat Liquor all coming to Leeds from the likes of Manchester and London, the force is Leeds.
An economy to rival a country
In Leeds, more so than many cities, there’s money to spend. There’s an economy that rivals a small European country, which proves its worth to the UK as a whole. Throw in the added investment of the Local Growth Fund, which will surpass £1 billion over the next twenty years and Leeds’ future prosperity is something to get in early with.
