You see, we’re giving you the chance to win the best weekend away you’ve ever had, complete with a Michelin Star feed, a trip on the London Eye and a luxurious lunch before you jump on the train and find your first class seats. Altogether, it’s worth over £1,500, so what are you waiting for? Get your entries in!
Travel to London first class
With plush new seats, fresh carpets and lovelier loos, not to mention onboard entertainment and free wifi when you book direct, travelling by train always trumps going by car, and it’s even better in First Class. Award-winning chef, James Martin, has revamped the menu, using locally-sourced ingredients to up the ante in the taste department – and you can couple your meal with free drinks, served at your table. This is the life!
Spend a night in a 5 star hotel
This jaw-dropping prize includes a one-night stay at the new Principal London Hotel. It’s a Grade II listed building and it’s been given an £85 million refurbishment that not only restored the grande dame to its former glory, but also created a wonderful oasis in the form of the Palm Court. Our lucky winner will bag an overnight stay for two people sharing a superior double room, with breakfast in Burr & Co. coffee house the next morning.
Enjoy a Michelin Star feed at Galvin at Windows
There’s nowhere better to eat in London. Galvin at Windows has all the glamour of the 1930s, with 360° views of the city and a Michelin Star to boot. It sits atop of the London Hilton on Park Lane, so you can look out over the London Eye, Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace and Wembley Stadium. We’re giving away a 3-course dinner for two, with an aperitif on arrival and a sommelier wine pairing. This is your chance to try Chef Patron Chris Galvin and Head Chef Joo Won’s French haute cuisine with dishes like raw Orkney scallops with toasted seaweed emulsion, limes, kohlrabi and soy vinaigrette.
See the city from on high on the Coca-Cola London Eye
The Coca-Cola London Eye is one of the capital’s most famous attractions – and you can do it in style, because we’re giving away a Champagne Experience for two. You’ll get fast-track entry, before you enjoy a glass of chilled Pommery Brut Royal Champagne while you look out over the city. On a clear day, you can see 40 kilometres into the distance – look out for the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge and St.Paul’s Cathedral.
Grab lunch before you go home at Granary Square Brasserie
From the team behind The Ivy Collection, Granary Square Brasserie is a contemporary British restaurant that brings a little bit of luxury to King’s Cross. It’s the perfect stop before you head back to Leeds, so we’re throwing in an extravagant lunch – you’ll get a cocktail or a glass of champagne on arrival before you tuck into a delicious 3-course lunch worth up to £180. From aromatic duck curry to whole seabass and slow roasted lamb shoulder, there’s a little something for everyone.
