The National Student Survey results are in and Leeds Trinity University gets a glowing report.
The National Student Survey asks nearly half a million students about the courses they’re on, what it’s like to study at their university and how they rate everything from learning resources to student voice and academic support. This year, Leeds Trinity University achieved an overall satisfaction score of 80% – not only above average, but joint first across Yorkshire. If you’re planning on going through Clearing in the next few weeks and wondering where to go, here’s why Leeds Trinity could be your ticket to a bright future.
Why listening to students is so important
With Leeds Trinity University coming joint top in Yorkshire for overall student satisfaction*, they must be doing something right. Right? Well, they scored highly for some of the key areas prospective students look for. Learning opportunities? Right up there. Assessment and feedback? Check and check again. Importantly, they also achieved great satisfaction in learning community and student voice – they really do listen to their students.
As Vice-Chancellor Professor Charles Egbu told us, “when we say you are a name and not a number at Leeds Trinity University, we really mean it. And we are delighted to see that this personal and inclusive approach has made a real difference for our students.” It’s something echoed by Kelsey Howard-Matthews, President of Leeds Trinity Students’ Union, who pointed out how the University has worked closely with them to listen to student needs and feedback.
Degrees designed to give your career a head start
The more personalised approach to learning that Leeds Trinity University prides itself on doesn’t get in the way of its degrees being highly practical and its graduates becoming highly employable. Every undergraduate degree comes with a guaranteed professional work placement, helping students to get real-world skills. The University’s relationships with 2,000 employers and the embedded skills in the courses are why 97% of Leeds Trinity graduates are in employment or further study 15 months after graduation**.
