That just gives your family more time to get into the egg-hunting spirit, with a brilliant Bunny Egg Hunt coming to Leeds city centre this April. Running from Friday 8th to Monday 18th April 2022 – the Easter Bunny gets the day off on Easter Sunday as he’s busy – it promises to be eggs-actly what your kids will be crying out for.

Kids love Easter so much it’s not even bunny – and how better to get them in the mood than by taking them on a free, fun Easter egg hunt? LeedsBID and Welcome to Leeds, in partnership with choc experts Lindt, have devised a devious map with a dozen giant eggs hidden away in the city centre. Each egg is squirrelled away in a retail location in Leeds, and it’s your mission – should you choose to accept it – to discover them all.

Of course no-one is expecting you to find them on your own – you can collect a map to help you. Grab yours from the Easter Bunny Egg Garden outside Victoria Leeds on Sidney Street and you’ll be all set to go. You’ll have clues to crack, which will lead you to the location of each egg. As you find them, your little chocolate fiends can draw and colour the unique egg designs on to the map – that’s how they earn a treat at the end.

With your delicious dozen all discovered, you can head back to the garden to show your completed map to the event team, who’ll reward you for your hunting skills. But that’s not all, yolks! You and your brood will also be able to take capture the magic of the day at their Easter egg-themed selfie spot. We recommend bunny ears, whiskers and children’s faces smeared in hastily devoured chocolate eggs.

With plenty more stuff happening in Leeds over Easter, you can turn it into the perfect family day out. Take a break from the egg hunt to recharge your batteries – and make a forlorn attempt to get the kids to eat something other than chocolate – at one of the city’s numerous family-friendly restaurants, many of which have dedicated kid’s menu and those all-important colouring sets to keep them stimulated while you rest your legs.

You could also stretch your egg hunt out and dip into all the other stuff going on to double your fun. Leeds has loads of other ways to keep the kids entertained at Easter, from basket making to mazes, crafting and even a jousting tournament. That way, your offspring can cram in a little culture along with all the chocolate, before you head back out for some happy egg hunting. And if you don’t find them all? Just choc it up to experience.

The Easter Bunny Egg Hunt runs from 11am-4pm from Friday 8th to Monday 18th April 2022, except for Easter Sunday. Maps can be collected from the Egg Garden on Sidney Street. Hop to it!
