Versa Leeds Studios
Versa Leeds Studios is a best-in-class film studio facility offering over 130,000 square foot of production space – and it’s right in the heart of the Leeds South Bank. Versa’s aim is to reimagine the working environment for content production, providing not only the studios in which to film, but all of the surrounding services required to fulfil your production needs.
Versa boasts no less than four stages, and with a studio ceiling height of a huge 27 feet, it’s a great fit for large productions. There are two studios available to rent, including one of the largest infinity coves in the North, which is perfect for large scale productions. Now this is a production studio with a difference. Based at the former Leeds East Airport, Church Fenton is an ex-RAF base, and was one of England’s landmark air defence bases during World War II. It’s been transformed into an incredible production facility and now boasts three humongous hangars totalling almost 100,000 square foot of internal production space.
In addition to reams of studio space, there are workshops and offices, as well as green rooms and costume facilities. Outside, you’ll find a huge network of runways and roadways spanning across 440 acres, with clear vistas providing a perfect base for outdoor shoots. It’s fit for royalty, too – ITV’s Victoria was filmed on-site, with stages 1 and 3 reimagined as Buckingham Palace.
