Tea, cakes and bottomless bubbles.

Afternoon tea at Issho

These wonderfully indulgent afternoon tea experiences come with bottomless bubbles.

You can see why Afternoon tea is so popular. Tiers of sandwiches, cakes and scones are coupled with a proper pot of tea for a wonderfully decadent in-between meal. But what if you could make it even better? That’s right, we’re talking about bottomless bubbles and you can get them at three Leeds venues.

Afternoon tea at Crafthouse

Crafthouse changes the theme of its afternoon tea every six weeks, but it always comes with free-flowing prosecco for £39 per person. Expect their usual creative flair applied to mini savouries and sweets, with delicious morsels like cheddar cheese puffs, roast ham and chutney brioche roll and treacle tart with raspberry, alongside classic touches like macarons and scones. This is a luxurious feast in an incredibly sophisticated venue, so check it out.

Crafthouse, Trinity Leeds, 70 Boar Lane, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS1 6HW.

Le Chalet

Afternoon tea at le Chalet

Where better to go for afternoon tea than a little French tearoom? Le Chalet serve theirs with unlimited champagne for £35 per person. You’ll get a choice of two sandwiches, with everything from roasted red pepper and cream cheese to carvery ham and mustard. They’ll come on a traditional afternoon tea tiered stand, with a selection of savoury canapés, miniature cakes and a scone with clotted cream and jam.

Le Chalet, 31-32 Park Row, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS1 5JD.

Issho afternoon tea

Issho puts an Asian twist on proceedings, so expect contemporary Japanese food with free-flowing prosecco for just £40 per person. You’ll work your way through edamame beans, temari sushi balls, sliced sea bass with ponzu and miso braised lamb shoulder pancakes, before moving onto the sweets. Indulge your sweet tooth with caramel purin, chocolate & matcha green tea brownies, Yuzu meringue kisses and mocha ice cream balls. You can even enjoy it in their Sakura Secret Garden on the roof terrace.
