Enjoy breathtaking views from three of the city’s best rooftop terraces this summer.
Summer’s here and lockdown has been eased, so why not make the most of the city’s rooftop bars? You can settle down in the glorious sunshine for a few drinks as you look out over the city’s skyline. These three roof terraces are from favourites and they’re now back open to the public, so you can plan your next catch-up in the sun and enjoy a pint or two along the way.
There’s not one, but two rooftop terraces at Headrow House. The first is just off Redondo Beach and it has oodles of tables for you to while away an afternoon with one of their craft beers or classic cocktails. Alternatively, head upstairs to Kennedy Meadows, a leafy rooftop beer garden with views across the rooftops. On busy days, they even open the mini shed bar on the lower terrace.
Headrow House, Bramleys Yard, 19 The Headrow, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS1 6PU. You need to book ahead online.
East Parade Social
With views looking over Leeds Town Hall, East Parade Social has one of the best rooftop terraces in the city. This astroturfed beer garden gets the sun from every angle, so it’s perfect for those warm summer evenings. While you’re there, enjoy an ice-cold pint of Camden Pale Ale. Prefer cocktails? They do twists on classics, like the oh-so-refreshing Grapefruit Margarita.
East Parade Social, 10-12 East Parade, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS1 2BH. They’re accepting walk-ins.
Belgrave Music Hall
Belgrave Music Hall’s rooftop beer garden is the stuff of legend. This cool-as-heck sun trap offers is packed with personality – so grab a seat at one of the benches and quench your thirst with an almost endless supply of craft beers on tap and in the fridges. Hungry? You’re in luck my friend because Patty Smith’s serve the best burgers in Leeds and Dough Boys’ are just as good at pizzas.
