The whole brood is welcome at these Leeds bars.

Vocation

Just because you’ve got little ones in tow, doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the city’s coolest bars.

When you’ve got kids, it’s only too easy to find yourself in venues that are more focused on the little ones than they are on the adults. But these family-friendly bars welcome the whole gang so you can enjoy a few drinks and the kids will be looked after just as well. We’re talking buggy space, kid-friendly fodder and even board games, so you’ll feel completely at home during your visit. So next time you fancy a drink, why not bring the kids with you?

Belgrave Music Hall is one of the coolest family hangouts in the city. This mahoosive venue has a bar, events space and rooftop terrace, so there’s something different to enjoy all-year-round. Whether you plan to settle down on their sofas with a craft beer or take part in their monthly pizza-making workshops, you can rest assured that your kids are more than welcome. Their two onsite food vendors Patty Smith’s and Dough Boys are also a life-saver when the pangs of hunger strike.

A window spot overlooking the canal paired with one of their board games will help keep little ones occupied, giving you a chance to sit back and enjoy everything from craft beer to G&Ts. Their menu is jam-packed with family-friendly bites like pizza, burgers and sandwiches – just ask if you need a highchair. And if the weather’s in your favour, you can even park yourselves on a bench outside.

Unlike many bars in Leeds, they allow little ones in on an evening too, so you won’t have to cut your excursions short. There are 24 taps of North’s freshly-brewed beer to choose from at the bar, as well as kegged wine and cocktails. Rumbling tummies can be tended to with the Asian street food delights of Little Bao Boy. To top it off, they’re dog-friendly, so you really can bring the whole brood.
