Fingers crossed, lockdown restrictions will be relaxed on Monday 12th April 2021 and we can all start getting back to the wonderful foodie events we’ve missed over the past year. Street food feasts, sausage festivals and epic socials are all in the pipeline, so you can catch up with long-absent friends while you stuff your face with all kinds of deliciousness. But which to try first?
Tasty street food from the region’s very best, local beers fresh from the tap and live DJs spinning tunes – Chow Down is not to be missed. It took over Temple Arches last year and you can expect all the same deliciousness when it returns this summer. There’ll be different vendors each weekend, with favourites like Little Bao Boy, Yorkshire Grilled Cheese and Pizza Loco on the line-up.

Morocc ’n’ Roll
Venture into the woods at This Green Moon for Morocc ’n’ Roll, a family-friendly evening of Moroccan street food and live entertainment. You’ll get a complimentary beer, wine or soft drink on arrival, before sitting down at your woodland table for Moroccan delights courtesy of Aperyer. Just add magical live entertainment, and you’re all set for a fantastic family event.

The Tetley’s terrace is being transformed into a buzzing hub of street food, drinks and tunes this spring. Every Friday, a local favourite will be cooking up a storm on the terrace, with Sela Bar pizzas, Little Red burgers and Honest Supper Club curries to look forward to. Pair your food with cocktails, craft beer or wine, then kick back and relax in the sun as DJs soundtrack your evening.

The Sausage & Cider Festival
The Sausage & Cider Festival is returning to Leeds. You can look forward to a mind-boggling array of sausages, from cheesy Bratwursts to smoky maple and chilli, all washed down with your pick of cider. Live bands will soundtrack your feast and you can even get involved in a hot-as-heck chilli eating competition – can you handle a Habanero?

North Leeds Food Festival
The North Leeds Food Festival is a must for local foodies. Street food traders from across the UK will come to Roundhay Park to treat you to their delicious wares, from juicy burgers to oh-so-cheesy pizzas and slurp-worthy noodles. With an artisan food market, live cookery demonstrations and hilarious family entertainment, the whole brood will have a ball at this event.
