Ever had a pizza wrap before? Head to New York-style pizza joint Union Square where they take a classic tomato base and load it up with toppings before rolling it all up in a heaving wrap. Take the USC Craft Wrap for example – it teams crispy fried chicken with jalapeños and lettuce, before they add mustard mayo to tie it all together.

At CULTO, you can put a bizarre twist on your pizzas by upgrading to a ‘Pizza Nera’. This is a black vegetable charcoal base made with ingredients that help to detoxify your body and reduce bloating. It means you can tuck into your favourite combinations like the Delicata, a mix of ham, spinach and ricotta, or the Fungi E Tartufo, which brings together mushrooms, black truffle and rocket, all without the guilt.

At Dough House, they take a 10 inch calzone, pack it with tasty fillings then deep fry it. It’s a favourite in Southern Italy that you can now experience in the heart of Leeds. Try the Piccante – they fill it with roast potatoes alongside spicy salami, then throw in capers and rosemary. All this is encased in a light fluffy dough which becomes crisp when deep fried.
