Want to be the first to know about the latest openings in Leeds? Then get reading, because we’ve got 6 more to tell you about…
Here we are again – we’ve got another batch of new arrivals for you to get pumped about ahead of their openings. There’s a new Italian lunch spot, a suburban hub for Yorkshire beer and a super cool barbers right in the heart of the city. But that only scratches the surface of what’s coming soon to Leeds, so go on, take a look…
There’s a new Italian cafe opening up in the business district this summer. You’ll find the wonderfully named Eataliano in a basement on Britannia Street and it’s going to make lunchtimes much more exciting. They’ll be serving everything from Italian sandwiches to salads and focaccia Romana pizza. But that’s not all, because you can also take your pick from their fresh salad bar. It’s all made with a mix of local produce and specially sourced Italian delicacies.
Eataliano opens on Britannia Street in July 2018.
Kirkgate’s regeneration continues apace this summer as Blue-Collar Barbering opens up in one of the restored units on the city’s oldest street. They’ve taken the recently refurbished 90 Kirkgate and turned it into a cool independent barbers, but while the place itself may be new, the guys inside should feel familiar – they’re all Leeds locals who’ve made a name for themselves in the city’s salons. Whether you fancy a new fade or tidying up that beard, this is going to be the place to go.
Blue-Collar Barbering opens on Kirkgate in Summer 2018.
Boot and Rally
Put a visit to Meanwood on your summer to-do list because it will soon be home to a super cool bar. Boot and Rally is a new venture from two friends who wanted to showcase the finest beers brewed in each of the four Yorkshire countries all under one roof – we’re talking Atom Brewing Co, Treboom Brewery, Brass Castle Brewery and Saltaire Brewery. Heck, they’ve even got a back bar filled with great Yorkshire spirits too.
Boot and Rally opens in Meanwood in Summer 2018.
You’ve probably noticed that Maschio Hair and Beauty has closed down, but its prime position won’t be going to waste. Mark Hard has taken on the lease and he’s transforming the old hairdressers into a cool new bar. Expect creative cocktails, craft beer and good tunes in a sleek venue that’s a world away from its former life.
Hardy’s Bar opens on New Briggate in Summer 2018.
New Brook Leisure Bar
Right now, Santander on Park Row is still open, but not for long. Renowned Yorkshire bar group Brook Leisure, known for bars like Che Bar in Barnsley, Frank & Stein in Doncaster and Crystal in Sheffield, have already put in a planning application to transform it into a new food and drink venue. It doesn’t have a name yet, but it’s set to be a departure from their other ventures – in fact, the plans suggest a traditional-style pub will open before the year’s out.
New Brook Leisure Bar will open on Park Row in 2018.
The Lime Leaf
Soon we’ll be looking upon Pudsey with envy because they’re about to get a new Pan-Asian cafe. The Lime Leaf will be a brightly coloured cafe and takeaway where you can pick up everything from Malaysian curries to Thai noodles and Vietnamese banh mi. After years working in Pho and Wagamamas, Co-owner and Head Chef Tom Berry has brought a wealth of experience with him, so you can expect the very best of Asia.
The Lime Leaf will open in the coming weeks at the old Valley Chinese on Valley Road.
