So whether you want to enjoy a vegan feast, tuck into a traditional fish supper or turn eating out into a sensual experience, you won’t be disappointed.
Plant Styles x Laynes
Plant Styles will take over Laynes Espresso for their bring-your-own-booze supper club. Their 100% vegan menu will showcase the diversity and deliciousness of an all-plant diet. You’ll start with an antipasti platter before tucking into a series of sharing plates that promise combinations like roasted cauliflower with curried butternut squash and cultured coconut. You’ll end with a peanut butter cheesecake topped with salted caramel and chocolate textures.

Family Den Building with Grumpy’s and Scrap Creative Reuse
You can enjoy a fun-filled day out with the kids at this year’s Leeds Indie Food festival by taking part in a Family Den Building workshop at Grumpy’s. It’s led by Scrap Creative Reuse and their expert team will help you turn waste materials into your very own den. You could build a castle, a boat or even a pizzeria like Grumpy’s. But where’s the food? You’ll be rewarded with a buffet of hand-stretched wood-fired pizza, salads and sides.

Bundobust is going back to its roots with a one-off tasting menu that takes inspiration from the original collaboration between Prashad and The Sparrow. You’ll start the night with a quick drink at Bundobust before you hop on the bus to Prashad for 6 courses of delicious Indian fare paired with a selection of rare and exclusive beers. This is the perfect opportunity to reminisce the past and toast their success.

Hands On Sensuality
Hands on Sensuality is an edible exploration of pleasure. This indulgent 10-course tasting menu is served on different parts of your fingers, hands and wrists. Why? To make you experience food on a sensual level through the power of touch. Once you’ve eaten, the meal is followed by a talk and discussion of female sexual pleasure by Dr Annalise Weckesser.
Hands On Sensuality takes over Cafe 164 on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th May 2019.
Rawsome Vegan Supper Club
The Rawsome Vegan Supper Club proves that following a raw vegan diet doesn’t have to be dull. You’ll tuck into a 3-course menu that gives fresh ingredients a bold new twist. If their past events are anything to go by, you can expect energy-boosting eats like sweet potato and pear on a bed of saucy salad and vegan cheesy cashew courgetti. It’s bring-your-own-bottle and they source all their ingredients as close to home as possible.

Secrets of Food and Drink Photography
Whether you’re a budding food photographer or just want to up your Instagram game, you can learn the Secrets of Food and Drink Photography with renowned snapper Elouisa Georgiou. She’s teaming up with top local chef Luke Downing to show you the tricks of the photography trade, so you can learn how the pros create the perfect foodie snap. You’ll shoot with natural light, LEDs and a flash, before you enjoy cocktails and canapés from Luke’s Dough in the City.
Secrets of Food and Drink Photography takes over Block 47 Studio on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May 2019.
Whitelock’s Fish Supper
The Fish Supper is now a delicious festival tradition that closes out Leeds Indie Food. This much-loved supper club takes over the dining room of Whitelock’s as a throwback to the 1930s and 1940s when these events were all the rage. It’s an informal dining experience as Head Chef Chris Dennett serves you a 7-course tasting menu that showcases his creative ways of plating up fish, shellfish and seasonal vegetables sourced from around Yorkshire.
