The Brewdenell Beer Festival will be celebrating its fifth birthday in January and it’s the best way to kick off the New Year.
Dry January isn’t a possibility for the beer-loving Leeds folk, because 2017 is kicking off with one of the best beer festivals the city has to offer. The Brewdenell Beer Festival is back for its fifth birthday, from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th January 2017. It’s the perfect opportunity to try some of the best beers from more than 30 different breweries in Yorkshire, the UK and beyond – and it’s taking place in one of the city’s most treasured venues.
The range of beers on offer has seen it join the likes of LS6 Beer Festival, Leeds International Beer Festival and Leeds CAMRA Beer Festival as one of the most popular dates on Leeds’ beer calendar.
That reputation will be kept up in 2017 as the likes of Magic Rock, The Kernal, Siren Craft Brew, Thornbridge and Camden all make their way to Leeds from across the country to show off their latest and greatest. But it’s not just the UK – breweries from as far afield as New Zealand, Japan and the USA will be on the taps, with more than 60 beers to try across the weekend, as well as few special ciders.
You’ll be able to soak up the booze with some of the finest foodie options you’ll find at any beer festival. Sela Bar’s The Pizza Bus is stationed permanently outside the venue, while The Brudenell are now serving up Pieminister’s wares every day too. That’ll be in addition to a special brunch for Sunday ticket holders, from Leeds favourites Friends of Ham.
Across the weekend there’ll be a slew of live music to keep folk entertained, with the full line-up, for both beers and music to be announced in the run up to the weekend. There’s plenty to tempt you down there, so why not start the year as you mean to go on – by trying a host of great beers at a now legendary event?
Brewdenell Beer Festival is at Brudenell Social Club from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th January 2017. Tickets are available.
