Japanese street food, Mediterranean fine dining and creative small plates – these are the new openings coming soon to Leeds.
Ready for even more new openings? We’ve got another five to tell you about and they’re well-worth looking forward to. There’s a much-loved Mediterranean restaurant coming from London, a new Japanese diner from a local favourite and five, yes, five, German kebab shops opening in Leeds. So what are you waiting for? Check them out, stat!
Pazza is a pop-up pasta shop that’s taking over a little corner of MOD Pizza on Albion Street. You can make your own perfect pasta dishes using their fresh ingredients or go for one of seven signature flavour combinations. The Chicken and Chorizo Alfredo is made with their special recipe rigatoni, sundried tomatoes, spinach and parmesan, or go veggie with the Al Pesto, which promises spinach, courgettes, feta and fresh scialatelli.

German Doner Kebab
German Doner Kebab will open five stores across Leeds in 2020 and the first one will open in the city centre this summer. They’ve earned huge acclaim across the world for their proper doner kebabs, which are made using premium lean meats. Try The Original, a combination of doner meat, fresh lettuce, onion, tomatoes, red cabbage and their three secret sauces. Feeling adventurous? Doner Quesadillas and Doner Spring Rolls will fill a hole.

Farrands Bar and Restaurant
Farrands is a new bar and restaurant coming to Swinegate this Spring. You can look forward to a contemporary venue elegantly decorated and split across two floors. Pop in for a few drinks and make the most of their extensive selection of hand-picked wines, creative cocktails and craft beers. Hungry? They’re focussed on creating the best shared dining concept possible so get ready for a menu of refined small plates.

Seven Brothers Beerhouse
Beer lovers, rejoice! Seven Brothers is a Salford brewery run by, you guessed it, seven brothers. They started making beer in 2014 and have opened two bars since on the other side of the Pennines. Now they’re opening their first outside of Manchester and it’s going to be a doozy. You can look forward to amazing beers, with everything from the classic pales and stouts to more inventive creations like the three brews they’ve made using Kellogg’s breakfast cereals.

Bento Japanese Street Food and Izakaya
Bento is a new bar and restaurant from the folk behind Senbon Sakura. It’s inspired by the traditional izakayas of Japan, informal bars that serve incredible food. You can look forward to dishes like chicken yakitori skewers, handmade gyozas and steaming bowls of ramen. Pair yours with one of 80 different kinds of alcohol from Japan. From IPAs to gin, whisky and sake, you won’t be able to find many of them anywhere else in Leeds.
