You practically skip out of the office and head to East 59th, where 90 minutes of free-flow beer, cocktails and prosecco awaits, along with a mighty fine feed – and all for just £35. Now that’s how you start the weekend!

East 59th

So the first question is – have you been to East 59th yet? It’s a rooftop bar and grill that takes its inspiration from the Big Apple. Plush velvet and soft leather meet industrial chic in their New York style loft, which sits atop of the new Victoria Gate shopping centre. Their floor to ceiling windows that look out over the city, and in the summer, the terrace comes into play, but even when the sun’s not shining, you’ll enjoy an outdoors-indoors vibe with trees dotted around the venue.

It’s the perfect place to start your weekend, especially now that they’ve launched their Free-flow Supper Club. It gets you a snack, a main and a side, with unlimited drinks for just £35. You’ll start with nibbles like Italian olives in chilli and rosemary and pepperoncini peppers stuffed with feta, before you move on to the main event.

East 59th

East 59th is famous for its burgers and you’ve got three to choose from on the supper club menu. You can devour their cheese burger, which comes fresh off the grill. It’s loaded with a quarter pound beef pattie, cheese, lettuce, sliced red onions and pickles, then topped with their secret sauce and spicy relish. Alternatively, you could go with a crispy chicken burger. Veggie? Try the halloumi burger – they layer guacamole, lettuce, red onion and mushroom on top of grilled halloumi and serve it in a brioche bun.

It’s not just burgers though. The miso baked salmon is well worth a try – it’s smothered in their special miso glaze and served with spring onions. Why not couple it with creamy spinach or skinny fries? And if you’re looking for something a little meatier, they have an 8oz flat iron steak that’ll be right up your street.

East 59th

Alongside the food, you’ll have a choice of drinks – and they’ll keep them coming for the full 90 minutes. They do bottomless beer, prosecco and cocktails, so there’s a little something for everyone. Try their signature Tom Collins, a simple but oh-so-delicious mix of Jensen’s Old Tom gin, lemon juice, sugar and soda, or give your bubbly a little more pop with the Midtown Sparkle, which adds Limoncello and fresh raspberry purée into the mix.

The Free-flow Supper Club at East 59th is available from 5pm to 9pm every Friday. But a weekend extravaganza like this is sure to be popular, so you’ll need to book ahead. Round up your mates, put a date in the diary and get your weekend off to a cracking start.
