The Parkside Tavern Beer Festival will bring a slew of craft beers and ales to the Merrion Street pub – but that’s not the only reason to go.
Slate NQ has become the Parkside Tavern, a proper pub with a serious focus on beer, and to celebrate, they’re holding a 4-week beer festival from Friday 30th September to Thursday 27th October 2016. Throughout the festival, you’ll be able to work your way through their rather awesome selection of craft beers, ales and lagers, which will be taking over the 14 lines at Parkside Tavern – but that’s not the only reason to go.

This week’s Festival Beer Flight…
From Friday 21st to Thursday 27rd October 2016, it’s the Brewer’s Choice – so we’ve got three handpicked Theakston ales for you.
This is the standout session ale in the Theakston collection. Best Bitter is a full bodied, dry beer made with five varieties of hops and prime malting barley to create a proper Yorkshire beer that’s really easy to drink.
Lightfoot is a nod to the brewery in Masham that Theakston took over in 1919. It’s a golden pale ale with a light fruity finish that combines English barley with wheat and continental hops.
Green Hop Ale
One of the latest beers to join the Theakston collection is Green Hop Ale, a refreshing craft beer made with English Pioneer hop, grown right here in Yorkshire. If you haven’t already, it’s well worth a try.
