The Gin Journey
The Gin Journey is a gin tasting with a difference. It’s actually a boozy pub crawl – every Saturday they welcome punters onto their luxurious Gini-bus for night of gin-centric drinking. It takes you on a bar-hopping tour around Leeds, stopping at 5 bars every week. You’ll try a different gin in each bar, with a 10ml sample to sup before you enjoy an original gin-based cocktail and move on to the next one – and along the way, you’ll learn a thing or two about the city and spirit.
The Gin Journey starts from a secret location in Leeds city centre every Saturday.
Shears Yard offers gin tastings that are a little bit different from the norm. They’re actually dinners, so alongside a selection of gins from a hand-picked label, whether it’s Sipsmith, Four Pillars or Slingsby, they’ll put together a 5-course menu designed to match each tipple. The events are held every few months, and usually cost between £50 and £60, so it’s worth keeping an eye on what’s coming up.
