At a time when opportunities to spoil ourselves are few and far between, Harvey Nichols is making dinner exciting again.
Hands up who’s in the mood for a full-blown feast, brimming with local produce, creative combinations and flavours that’ll set your tastebuds aflame? Well, set your table and listen out for that doorbell, because Harvey Nichols’ Fourth Floor Brasserie is bringing Leeds’ finest fare right to your door – and they’ve even created a special 5-course Valentine’s menu to help you celebrate in style!
HN @ Home delivers a fresh round of drool-worthy delights with a series of three-course menus for two, meticulously designed and cooked by Head Chef Lee Heptinstall. Big on style but simple enough to whip up from your own kitchen, your culinary cravings will be well and truly satisfied. As Lee explained, “I wanted to make sure it was something enjoyable that people can do at home, where the restaurant quality’s been put in before they get there.” Minimal effort, maximum reward!
Delivered every Friday, this is your chance to dine in the lap of luxury without even having to step foot outside. From 5th February 2020, treat your tum to the likes of beetroot-cured salmon, followed by slow-roasted pork belly with all the trimmings and a delicate vanilla mascarpone mousse to finish. The following fortnight welcomes the arrival of a deeply savoury French onion soup and melt-in-the-mouth Moroccan-inspired lamb, rounded off with a lavish blood orange and chocolate pavlova. Don’t worry, there are veggie options too!
Mouth watering already? Who could blame you? But it’s the attention to detail that elevates these dishes from lovely to downright luxurious. That salmon starter? It’s cured in salt and sugar for no less than 12 hours before being smothered in beetroot purée. The pork belly? Braised to tender perfection, served with pork fat confit potatoes, spiced apple purée and a snap of crackling on the side. The mascarpone mousse? Pillow-soft and paired with poached Yorkshire rhubarb that can be eaten hot or cold to your liking.
With Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Easter Sunday just around the corner, the future is looking pretty tempting too. An extra special five (yes, five!) course Valentine’s menu is a masterclass in romantic gorging. Brought to your home on Friday 12th February 2021, you’ll have fresh sourdough nibbles and dips to start, silky smooth white bean and chorizo velouté, luxurious hand-dived scallops with truffle butter and rich-as-heck duck served three ways with creamy dauphinoise potatoes. The final touch? An oozy chilli and chocolate fondant. Perfection.
Safe to say, this isn’t your typical takeout. “We’re trying to completely redo what we would do in the restaurant for our customers at home,” Manager Philip Lockwood told us. “It gives people that can’t get out the chance to enjoy restaurant-quality food. We take the time over cooking and preparing, so it’s made as easy as possible for the customer at home.” Basically, they do all the hard work – you simply make the finishing touches and reap those tasty, tasty benefits. Ideal for foodies and families alike.
Plus, it’s not just your stomach that’ll thank you. We all know that fine dining is a feast for the eyes as much as the mouth. That’s why HN @ Home throws in fun touches, like a piping bag so you can get artistic with your spiced apple purée. Recyclable containers are packaged with love in insulated boxes and sent alongside step-by-step printed instructions. It wouldn’t be Harvey Nichols without a few fancy flourishes, after all.
Got your eye on a little something special from the Harvey Nichols store? Let the team know and they’ll include it in your delicious delivery! Treats like Harvey Nichols Champagne and indulgent truffles from the Foodmarket are a fine choice to accompany your meal. However, you’re just as welcome to add in your favourite bottle of perfume, a thoughtful gift for a loved one or those designer shoes you’ve been lusting after online. How’s that for customer service?
