Little Leeds Beer House do their beer tastings a little bit differently. They invite brewers from some of the best breweries from around the UK to showcase their beers and lead you through a tutored tasting. The price and amount of beers you get to try depends on each individual event – for instance, they’ve done a free tasting of four beers from Brew By Numbers while Burning Sky brought three of their latest saisons to try for £6. Beer tasting

Beer tasting from wine experts? It may sounds crazy, but trust us, Yorkshire Wine School know what they’re talking about. They host semi-regular events at Lucky Number 7, with a focus either on British or global beers. You can taste a wide selection of beers, with everything from real ales to Czech lagers and Belgian fruit beers, depending on the class you pick. You’ll learn about how it’s made before they talk through the tasting notes of each beer – they’ll even throw in some British sausages to soak it all up. Classes start from £32.50 although you can book a private class for a fee dependent on when and where you want it.
