It’s almost here – the 2018 FIFA World Cup will be taking over Leeds this summer, but where can you watch all the big games?
The World Cup is the biggest football tournament in, well, the world, and anticipation is already building. Hopes will again be high for the England national team as they aim to rekindle the spirit of 1966 and end 52 years of hurt. They’ll warm up with a friendly against Costa Rica at Elland Road on Thursday 7th June 2018, then you can find out if they’ll go all the way in Russia when the tournament kicks off on Friday 15th June 2018. Here’s where to watch it.
Yes! It’s been confirmed – all of England’s World Cup games will be shown live on the big screen in Millennium Square, even if they go all the way to the final on Sunday 15th July 2018. Fingers crossed. Once again, it will be free entry – but as in the past, thousands turn up to cheer on the Three Lions, so get there early to avoid the queues and watch the game.
