No cocktail list is complete without an Espresso Martini, and by jove The Domino Club does this caffeinated concoction proud. Theirs is made with high-end Tosolini Coffee Liquor, fresh espresso and sweet Cariel Vanilla Vodka, but they couldn’t resist a cheeky twist. Added depth comes courtesy of their homemade stout syrup, made with beer from sister bar Roland’s beer pumps and reduced with lashings of sugar. Shake up this delectable favourite with ice for the perfect foam topping, then scatter on the North Star coffee beans and get sippin’.
Whether you want to go full-on Mad Men during your next Zoom call or just like to kick back with a classic cocktail, the Old Fashioned is a mighty fine choice. There’s no faffing required here. A mix of Buffalo Trace Bourbon, homemade angostura bitters and a quintessential sugar syrup are all that’s needed to bring this strong cocktail to life – simply pour it onto ice, stir, pop on the Valencia orange garnish and release your inner Don Draper. With eight servings per bottle, there’s plenty of time to perfect your smoulder.
A taste of the tropical is never too far away with a Piña Colada by your side. This sweet-toothed favourite is easy to love but tricky to get right, which is why The Domino Club have done all the hard work for you. Two dark Caribbean rums, Plantation Original and Goslings Black Seal, combine to form a badass base that’s mixed with coconut cream, all-natural pineapple juice, fresh lime and a dash of salt. The result? A citrus-sweet blend perfect for swigging in the sun. They even throw in cherry and lime garnishes, so you can close your eyes and pretend you’re at the beach.
Knock back the finest French Martini you’ve ever had at home, jam-packed with fruit and a masterclass of sweet ’n’ sharp flavours. Organic raspberry vodka gives the cocktail a real kick, but there’s more booze in store. Zingy blackberry liqueur and Crème de Framboise layer up against their very own pineapple syrup and clarified citrus mixers. That little note of nuttiness? It comes from a tiny dash of Tosolini Saliza Amaretto, a unique addition to the French Martini, but one that The Domino Club stands by. Its subtle nuttiness balances perfectly against the fruit – try and see, you won’t be disappointed.
Another rum-based beauty, this is a Mai Tai with attitude. The cocktail starts out simply enough with an Appleton Estate Jamaican dark rum base, but soon catapults your tastebuds into overdrive with a bonus shot of Wray & Nephew white rum, coming in at a stonking 63% ABV. This is a seriously punchy cocktail, loaded with citrus syrup, orange liqueur and fresh lime juice. Yowza! The final ingredient is a nutty Orgeat almond syrup. All you have to do is shake up the drink with the bag of ice, chuck on the dehydrated orange slice and Maraschino cherries, and forget about all your worries.
Rose & Elderflower Spritz
With expert mixologists, a basement-full of first-rate booze and a knack for innovation, The Domino Club loves to push boundaries. But some creations are just too good to let go, which is why Rose & Elderflower Spritz (formerly known as Floralis) has been a best seller since they launched. This corker of a cocktail comes with Domino’s specially-made gin – the unique blend of botanicals is perfectly accompanied by rose vermouth and elderflower cordial. Mix it with cucumber and watermelon soda, add the final touch of cucumber ribbons and dehydrated grapefruit, and you’ve got a summer spritz!
Classic cocktails don’t come much more summery than the tequila-heavy Margarita. The Domino Club pulls no punches when it comes to theirs – they kick things off with one of the best tequilas in the world, Tapatio, then blend in orangey Triple Sec, lime juice and sweet citrus syrup. But before you chug away, you have a decision to make – will you shake yours up with ice for a classic slushy serving, or pour it over the top for headier concoction? The ice is provided, the choice is yours. And if you’re feeling particularly adventurous, you could even try a salt rim.
