Explore Leeds’ wonderful independent food scene

Leeds Food Tours

Leeds Food Tours is the brainchild of Ellen Miller, an avid foodie and your guide for the day. She’ll take you under her wing as you embark on the ultimate adventure in gastronomy, hitting the streets in hunt of marvellous morsels. You’ll visit no less than six indie venues, with food and drink included at each and every stop. One thing’s for certain – you won’t be going home hungry.

Not only will you get your chops around the finest cuisine Leeds has to offer, you’ll also dig into a feast of facts, as Ellen shares her impressive knowledge of the city’s food and drink history. It’s not just for tourists either, oh no. Whether you’re new to the city or Yorkshire through and through, a tour is the perfect way to discover new restaurants, hidden gems and must-try dishes.

Guided or self-guided, the choice is yours

Leeds Food Tours

There are two ways to take on this unique view of the city. Head out on a guided tour and you’ll join a team of likeminded foodies, led by the lovely Ellen. The guided tours take place on Saturday in groups of no more than 12, but you can book a private tour on another day if there are six or more of you. Expect an unforgettable afternoon of food, drink and cracking conversation.

Prefer to do it at your own pace? Check out six carefully-curated venues in your own time with a self-guided tour. You’ll receive a physical pack with a map, instructions, fact cards and food tokens, which you can exchange for tasty treats like bao buns, tacos and loaded fries. With no need to book in advance, it’s perfect for gifting or spontaneous adventures.

With food and drink built in, plenty of time for socialising and your own personal guide, it’s sure to be a day to remember.
