How would you like to win an incredible night of Keralan cuisine to share with your absolute favourite people?

Tharavadu has earned itself a reputation as one of the best Indian restaurants in the city. How? By defying convention and serving up a selection of little-known but utterly delicious dishes that hail from the Keralan coast. Using authentic recipes, passed down through the generations, Executive Head Chef Ajith Nair and his team will challenge you to try a side of Indian cuisine that few ever discover – and you’ll soon come to love it.

You, your mates and £200 worth of Keralan delights

Tharavadu

Whole crab, cooked in the shell and smothered in coconut sauce, heavy on the spices. Big, crispy paper dosas served with potato masala, sambar and chutney. Traditional thali with seven chef’s choice curries, each as scrumptious as the last. That’s what awaits you at Tharavadu.

The menu is perfect for sharing – vegetable kurma, mutter paneer and kadala potatoes make delicious bedfellows, but to share means to give up the last succulent spoonful of Malabar Kozhi Biryani and that is no easy task. Generous sides (think spinach and toor dal) and traditional breads (from poori to chapathi), will make the sacrifice a little easier, but the temptation to over-order is strong. Fear not, leftovers will be packed up to go.

As our winner, you can order a feast of epic proportions, with £200 to spend. Wash down your food with local favourites like Kirkstall Brewery’s Somarasam, or go for a more traditional bev, like Cobra. There’s wine too, including a Chilean Sauvignon Blanc that demands to be tried.
