Round up your friends and devour delicious Keralan grub
If you’re one of our two lucky winners, you’ll bag a Sadya for four people – Sadya translates as banquet from Malayalam and that’s exactly what you’ll get.
It’s a three-course feast that starts with a soup, like the classic Parripu Soup which is made from lentils and drumstick vegetables with garlic, coriander and black pepper. That’s followed by your main which is a heaving tray of seven different chefs’ choice curries – there are meat, veggie and vegan versions available. You can tuck into everything from the Kerala Kozhi to the Cheera Paneer, complete with a plethora of sides, rice and bread.
And then it’s time for dessert – you’ll get the traditional Semiya Payasam, a vermicelli pudding seasoned with cardamom and saffron. To go with your meal, you can spend the rest of your £150 tab at Tharavadu on drinks. They have an extensive wine menu of red, white, rose and sparkling, as well as quality spirits. Prefer beer? You can choose from local ales by Kirkstall and Leeds breweries on tap or go for one of their bottles of craft beer.
