Kori Bar Issho

A contemporary Japanese restaurant and Kori Bar in Leeds' Victoria Gate, Issho promises contemporary dishes from Executive Chef Ben Orpwood, alongside Japanese cocktails, whiskey and sake. Book a table...

Everyone knows about Issho, it’s the latest Japanese restaurant to open in Leeds, but we’re going to show you another side of it – the Kori Bar.

This summer, D&D London brought two new additions to Leeds – Issho and East 59th. The former is a contemporary Japanese restaurant – but there’s more to it than meets the eye. Not only can you indulge in a medley of Japanese dishes, with classic sushi alongside artfully composed dishes like duck breast, pickled nashi pear and spring onion sauce cooked on their Robata Grill, but you can also indulge in Japanese cocktails, whisky and sake in their Kori Bar.

Enjoy an unforgettable night out worth over £200

Issho Kori Bar

Now, how would you like to check it out, without putting your hand in your pocket? That’s what we’re offering today. You could win an extravagant night out for four people, giving you a real taste of what the Kori Bar has to offer. Start your night with a round of cocktails, choosing from a range of delicious concoctions, like the Kochia, a heady mix of Belvedere Vodka, crème de framboise, homemade hibiscus shrub, sugar syrup and lemon juice.

After your cocktails, you’ll move on to two Japanese classics – sake and whisky. We’re treating you to an ultra-premium bottle of sake, made with 100% rice and water. Kobota Manju is a clean, velvety wine with hints of pear, vanilla and candy sugar – if you’ve never had sake before, this is sure to convert you. And to finish? A round of Hakushu 12 Year Old, an award-winning single malt that will show you just how good Japanese whisky can be.
