Fettle has become our go-to spot for interesting eats. By day, they serve a menu of breakfast favourites and plant-based, gluten-free lunches. But in the evening, the restaurant is transformed into a cosy hideaway with a refined menu of Scandinavian dishes that will challenge you to try something new. And there’s never been a better time to try it, because we’re giving away a delicious 3-course dinner to celebrate the launch of their new winter menu.

As the days get colder and the nights get longer, the urge to cosy up inside gets stronger – and Fettle is the perfect place to do it. You can escape to their candle-lit restaurant on Great George Street for a night of refined food, made with locally-sourced ingredients from small producers. Sound good? Then get your entries in because we’re giving away a 3-course dinner for four with two appetisers, two sides and bottle of prosecco to share.

This is your chance to try their new winter menu. It’s been handcrafted by Head Chef Annabel Cole, so you can expect warming dishes with an unusual twist. Why not start with their signature dumplings? They’re made from scratch every day and filled with a mix of forest mushrooms, roasted chestnuts, truffles, tarragon and spring onion for a perfectly balanced and deliciously earthy dish that takes inspiration from both Asia and Europe.

For your main, you have a tricky decision ahead of you. You could order their spiced pork fillet, which is rolled in festive spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, cacao and Sichuan peppercorn, then topped with their homemade blackberry and beetroot jus. Or what about the pigeon breast? Here, the dark wintery flavours of the meat are complemented by rice and coconut milk mash, red wine jus, parsnip crisps and roasted hazelnuts.

Whatever you choose, couple it with sides like caramelised sprouts in sweet miso butter and carrots with Jerusalem artichokes, before you move onto dessert. Their fluffy, melt in the middle chocolate fondant is an absolute must.
