100 of the world’s best rums are coming together under one roof and it’s going to be awesome.
Whether you’re a lifelong rum-lover or just like to dabble in daiquiris, there’s one event you simply cannot miss. Leeds Rum Festival is making a triumphant return to the Corn Exchange on Saturday 21st September 2019 with over 100 different types of rum with them. And in between all those cheeky snifters, you can grab a bite to eat at Little Bao Boy or Corn Exchange’s own Humpit Hummus. Throw in a night full of tastings, interactive events and live music for the ultimate night out.
Round up your rum-loving chums, this is gonna be right up your street
If you’re our lucky winner you’ll nab four tickets to the event, so you can slurp your merry way around Leeds Rum Festival. While you’re there, you’ll all be treated to two of your favourite rum-based cocktails from The Rum Shack bar inside. Yes, two free cocktails each – no exclusions! It’s mojito madness.
The booze-fuelled fun doesn’t end there. You can sample over 100 rums and it’s all included in the £20 ticket. Maybe you’ll fall in love with the 100% Louisianan Bayou Rum or perhaps the coconut and vanilla profile of Panama’s Naud Rum will capture your heart. If not, you can always rely on the 13 spices of Spice Hunter’s Boldest and the age-old recipe of Pusser’s Rum, the only brand authenticated and approved by the Admiralty to re-create the original taste of British Navy Rum.
Have a tot (or two, or three) of whatever takes your fancy, chat to the makers and find the perfect match for you, before you give your brain a good soaking at their expert-led masterclasses. Discover what goes into Diablesse Rum’s award-winning formula or put your skills to the test in a speed-making daiquiri challenge. All talks and masterclasses are free to ticket holders, so make sure you save a spot nice and early – these bad boys were popular last year.
To keep the celebration going long into the night, Leeds Rum Festival has teamed up with another local legend, Black Music Festival, who’ll bring a whole host of steel pan musicians, singers and even a carnival troupe to the party. There will also be a number of tequilas, whiskeys and gins for non-rum-loving folk to sniff out. And pirates. Obviously, there’ll be pirates.
