If you’re our lucky winner, you’ll bag dinner for 4 people at Stockdales of Yorkshire. Start with poached duck egg with wild mushrooms, truffle Hollandaise and toasted sourdough or go for the moules marinière with white wine, shallots, parsley and cream – whatever you choose, you’re in for a treat.
The main menu if full of quintessentially British dishes with a modern twist, but if there’s one thing you have to try at Stockdales, it’s the steak. All their beef is aged for a minimum of 28 days and cooked at 480°C over charcoal in the Josper Oven. The wagyu is the standout, and you can can choose from ribeye, sirloin or fillet. Don’t mind sharing? They have a 35oz Cote du Bouef and a 23oz Chateaubriand that’s perfect for feasting.
They have an extensive wine list, including the delicious El Enemigo Malbec from the Mendoza region of Argentina. Prefer cocktails? Choose from a thirst-quenching selection of classics, aperitifs and digestifs – or go for one of their Signature pours, like the Stockdales Martini, which brings together Monkey 47 gin, Kummel Wolfschmidt and Lillet Blanc.
