With a host of new faces opening their doors recently and some exciting new additions just around the corner, whether you’re craving spicy hot pot or you’re looking to discover local artwork, the Merrion Centre has you covered.
Boojum
When Belfast-born Boojum brought their viral burritos to Leeds, the people rejoiced. Build your burrito in five steps – start with your rice and beans, then your protein, before choosing your salsa – how hot will you go? Then it’s cheese and sour cream, yes and yes, before you add on any tasty extras – you can’t go wrong with jalapeños and guac.

Pho37

Nothing beats a steaming bowl of pho. Flavourful broth, tender meat and bouncy rice noodles come together to serve up a soothing meal that’s guaranteed to make you feel good. Headingley favourite Pho37 serves up all that and more at their Merrion Centre restaurant, alongside Vietnamese staples like summer rolls, vermicelli and banh mi. They even do karaoke!

Burley Banksy Art

Burley Banksy’s distinctive drawings can be spotted all over the city, and now the Leeds United-loving artist has his very own pop-up studio inside The Merrion Centre. Swing by and you can check out his work and buy something to take home – from tote bags to scarves, wall art to hoodies, it’s the perfect place to pick up a gift for the LUFC fan in your life.

Sugarize

A trip to Sugarize is like stepping into Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. It’s a treasure trove of colourful and delicious treats, from fruity gummies and American candy, to nostalgic retro sweets from days gone by. We love their pick and mix, with a huge array of sweets on offer, all priced at £1.50 per 100g. Peach rings, cola bottles and rhubarb and custard chews for us!

Wei’s Malatang
You can build your own hotpot bowl at Wei’s Malatang, a wonderfully interactive addition to The Merrion Centre’s restaurant scene. First up, pick your base – soup or dry – then choose a spice level and your ingredients. With everything from duck to tofu, you can create the bowl of your dreams, which is cooked to order and delivered to your table ready to slurp down.

Cards Direct

Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary or you’re just looking to show someone you care, head to Cards Direct. You’ll find rows upon rows of greetings cards, along with thoughtful gifts and wrapping paper – all at great value prices. La Fiesta
A brand new all-you-can-eat Mediterranean restaurant is opening up at The Merrion Centre this summer. La Fiesta will serve up a wide array of Spanish, Greek and Italian dishes, with diners able to fill their plates with meat, seafood, pasta, rice dishes and more. There’ll also be a huge salad bar packed with cheese and charcuterie!

Little Lotus
With branches across Yorkshire, Little Lotus is a popular grab-and-go Asian restaurant that’s perfect for a tasty, healthy lunch. Order freshly prepared sushi, salads and poke bowls, alongside a range of noodle pots and rice boxes. Our favourite has to be the sweet chilli chicken! Be sure to grab a mochi for dessert.
