Don’t tell the kids yet, but Easter’s just around the corner. Fear not – there are loads of ways to make it egg-stra special at the Merrion Centre.
If you’re looking for ways to entertain the little ones during the Easter holidays, look no further than the Merrion Centre. From interactive arts and crafts activities to story time sessions, there are loads of egg-cellent events to get involved with. With a whole host of family-friendly cafes and restaurants to boot, there’s no better place to spend the Easter break.
Entertain the kids without shelling out

Easter doesn’t have to be egg-spensive, oh no. The Merrion Centre will be running free activities all throughout the holidays, helping you keep the kids busy without breaking the bank. It all kicks off on Wednesday 5th April 2023, when Peter Rabbit will be bouncing down to the centre for regular story time sessions throughout the day. Peter and his narrator will be telling stories every hour between 11am and 3pm, with each session lasting around 30 minutes.
The furry action doesn’t stop there, ‘cause the petting farm’s coming to town! Expect cuddles aplenty with gentle bunnies, gorgeous guinea pigs, sweet little chicks and broody mother hens. There’ll be plenty of opportunities to learn about the animals, feed them and get up close and personal, all within a safe and comfortable environment. If you want your Easter to be choc-full of cute critters, you can visit the farm on Thursday 6th April 2023 between 10am and 2pm.
There’s plenty more interactive fun around the corner, with spring-themed arts and crafts activities providing a creative outlet for your budding artists. They’ll be able to roll up their sleeves and unleash their inner Picassos, trying their hands at everything from colourful crown making to spring-themed picture colouring. The inclusive sessions will be taking place in the main mall on both Tuesday 11th and Thursday 13th April 2023, between 10:30am and 2:30pm.
Dive into cracking fun for all the family

Still on the hunt for egg-citing family adventures? The Merrion Centre has you covered. The kids will love Drift Stop, where you’ll find a karting experience like no other. Hop into your very own e-kart and whizz around the arena until one of you is crowned the winner. With UV lights and pumping beats, it’s the perfect way to let off some steam and is suitable for ages four and over. You can try it for less this Easter, landing a 20-minute drift session for two and a pizza for £30.
Keep the competition flowing with a visit to Tenpin. Along with no less than 26 bowling alleys, there’s table tennis, pool tables and a fully-equipped arcade where you can game to your hearts’ desire. Peckish? Chow down on everything from juicy burgers and cheesy pizza, to loaded nachos and a gooey panini. With plenty of pocket-friendly deals, the fun never has to end. Make sure you stick around until later on – once the lights go down, it’s time for cosmic bowling.
If you’ve not had your fill of Easter fun, why not pick up a selection of arts and crafts supplies to take home with you? You can stock up that all-important rainy day cupboard over at The Works – a treasure trove of all things creative.
