Stay in a luxurious stable conversion

Marske Stables

If you’re looking to impress, the wonderful stable conversion at Marske Hall should be on your list. Dating back to 1741, the Grade-II listed building has been converted into 10 luxury cottages, each furnished to impeccable standards. Expect mood lighting, underfloor heating and four poster beds. Most of the cottages also feature gigantic whirlpool baths or large sharing hot tubs.

Stay here, and you’ll be able to make use of the gorgeous courtyard, where you can find seating areas, a barbecue and a giant chess board. There are even resident peacocks! In terms of location, Marske Hall itself is refreshingly tranquil, but there’s plenty on your doorstep. Explore the sprawling Yorkshire Dales National Park, or head to the pretty market town of Richmond – just a 15-minute drive away – where you can find the historic Easby Abbey.
