Clubnights are no longer confined to the indoors – this summer it’s time to take your rave into the open air with a slew of outdoor clubnights that you absolutely can’t miss if you love dance music. Will you listen to club classics played by a live DJ or check out a long-running favourite that’s putting on one hell of a party? Whether you do one or all five, they all promise a night to remember.

Summer in Leeds isn’t complete without legendary house DJ Sven Vath throwing an almighty shindig in the wonderful setting of Temple Newsam. Cocoon in the Park is back again this July and Vath has managed to put together his finest line-up yet. Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriatti, Richy Ahmed, Alex and Digby, Annie Errez and Bobby O’Donnell are all making their way to Leeds, with Vath topping the bill himself.

The Symphonic Sounds of Back to Basics

Back to Basics is Leeds’ most iconic clubnight, but you’ve never experienced it like this. They’re teaming up with the 50-piece Orchestra of Opera North for a memorable night in Millennium Square for their 25th birthday. Together they’re reworking and reimagining some of dance music’s biggest hits, but that’s not all – musicians and singers from Basement Jaxx, Groove Armada, The Beloved and A Man Called Adam will be appearing to play their most famous tunes.

The Symphonic Sounds of Back to Basics is at Millennium Square on Friday 28th July 2017.

Rejuvenation Summer All Dayer

How does a 14 hour rave sound? Get yourself down to Beaver Works this April for the Rejuvenation Summer All Dayer. It’s a jam-packed Saturday filled with an incredible line-up of house, techno and old school DJs on indoor and outdoor stages – all will be revealed in the coming weeks. The aim is to take you right back to the golden age of dance music of the late 80s and early 90s in an underground warehouse venue that’s positively buzzing.

Rejuvenation Summer All Dayer is at Beaver Works on Saturday 19th August 2017.

Need August bank holiday weekend plans? Look no further than the famous Garden Party at The Faversham. It’s the third and final one of the summer with its most impressive line-up yet. Headlining is The Black Madonna, who was rated as one of the best DJs in the world in 2016 by Mixmag and Resident Advisor. She’s joined by Canadian house and techno lover Heidi, with a live set by Ross From Friends who’s been tipped as one of the best up and coming dance acts since the hazy house sounds of ‘Talk To Me You’ll Understand’ dropped.

The Garden Party is at The Faversham on Sunday 27th August 2017.

Mint Festival

There’s only one way to end the summer – by having a mad one at Mint Festival. This year’s location is yet-to-be-confirmed, but they have revealed a stellar array of acts that make it an absolute must, working with nights like System, No Curfew, Knee Deep in Sound, Bitch and Edible. The big set to catch is Archie Hamilton playing back to back with Enzo Siragusa, while the likes of Eats Everything, Hannah Wants, Hot Since 82, Lady Leshurr, Loco Dice and Mike Skinner make it an unmissable line-up.
