Some of the biggest nights in Leeds are teaming up for Patterns Festival, a day and night party at Canal Mills with an amazing line up.

Looking for a way to kick off June with a bit of a bang? Canal Mills will be the place to be on Friday 5th June 2015 as the very first Patterns Festival arrives at the venue with an eclectic day to night line-up.

The brains behind the project are a trio of influential Leeds club promoters – Brotherhood Sound System, Just a Little and Vagabondz – they’ve merged all their interest together to create one hell of a party, just in time for summer.

Headlining duties at Canal Mills are being taken by Dutch house heroes, Detroit Swindle. The likes of ‘Monkey Wrench’, ‘Huh, What?’ and ‘The Wrap Around’ have established the pair of Lars Dales and Maarten Smeets as one of the hottest properties in dance music.

They’ll be joined by something a little bit more local at Patterns Festival, but equally as must-see. Leeds’ Submotion Orchestra have become one of the biggest draws on the live and festival circuit, with their downtempo-cum-dubstep-cum-jazz-cum-soul. That’s not to say they’re masters of no trades though, as Submotion prove time and time again.

Also on the live music bill at Canal Mills are Manchester’s raucous Riot Jazz Brass Band who are becoming increasingly renowned for their funky live shows, and hip-hop producers and fellow Mancunians The Mouse Outfit.

There’ll be three stages of different DJs at Patterns Festival, each focusing on a different genre. House and sick fans will be treated to Eliphino, Andy Hart, Hot Toddy (Crazy P), Stephen Howe, Pool Tax and Reuben. While, for some hip-shaking funk and soul classics The Reflex will be coming to town to spins one tunes alongside DJ Format, Mr Thing, Gin and Juice, Titan and Elwood.

It’s rounded off with a bass and garage area at Canal Mills with Benton, El-B, Moony, Hijinks, Silas and Snare Surgeon manning the decks for a mix of throwback classics and the best up and coming talent.

Early bird and first release tickets for Patterns Festivals have already gone, but there are plenty still available for £20. With an extensive street food line up to join burger pioneers Cow Boys to be announced shortly, we have a feeling they might not be there for much longer.

Patterns Festival is at Canal Mills at 6pm on Friday 5th June 2015. Tickets are available now.
